Service options, fees, and shipping
Service options: Choose Mail-In Apostille — Standard or Mail-In Apostille — Priority for mail-based submissions. For time-sensitive processing coordinated at the Colorado Secretary of State counter, select Counter Service Apostille — Standard (Same-Day) or Counter Service Apostille — Priority (Same-Day). “Same-day” refers to processing at the Secretary of State on the scheduled appointment date and does not involve client attendance or same-day mail delivery.
State fees are separate from service fees: The Colorado Secretary of State fee is $5 per document for mail submissions and $15 per document for counter / expedited processing.
Shipping responsibilities: Clients are responsible for all shipping-related costs. When placing an order, you will upload two prepaid USPS labels so we can route your documents correctly: (1) 5280 Apostille Services → Colorado Secretary of State and (2) Colorado Secretary of State → you (return delivery). We use your Label #1 to submit to the Secretary of State, and your Label #2 is used by the Secretary of State to return completed documents. 5280 Apostille Services does not generate, purchase, modify, or replace shipping labels.
Documents must meet eligibility and notarization requirements before submission. We do not prepare documents or provide legal guidance.
